Rescue:

A very nice man contacted Pet Patrol to see if we would be able to find a new home for his two
beloved cats, who were only three years old. Originally he had adopted them from another cat
rescue organization in the big city where he used to live. It was just himself and his cats, and all
was right in their world. Then he applied for and was approved for a new job about two hours
away and had to find an apartment quickly. In this post Covid world it is difficult to find affordable
rental housing because the market had become so very expensive. He was lucky enough to find
a house that was divided into two apartments and he had the main floor. A nice change from the
high rises that he used to live in. The only problem was that he was not able to take his cats with
him and he was very disheartened by that. It was never his intention to have to re home them.
He expected to have the cats for their full life. He found a family to take Cleocatra and Clawdette
in, but they had young children which the cats had never been exposed to. It did not go well.
Soon they were on their way to Pet Patrol

Personality:

These girls are beautiful, solid black and very loving. They are used to a quiet home, no other
pets or children and would do best in the same environment. They are playful and affectionate.
Their favorite toys are the laser pen light which provides a great opportunity for exercise, excitement and brings out a cat’s curiosity. They like crinkle balls and even shoe laces that are all
knotted up into a ball, they are easy cats to entertain. Both will greet you at the door when you
come home, eager to see you, how was your day and is it time for dinner? They love to share the
couch and a cuddle with their people, one sitting on the back of the couch behind your head and
the other beside you. Cleocatra and Clawdette are all for petting, brushing and having their chins
and the tops of their heads scratched. They are used to back massages and lots of love. They
are ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and
keep them safely indoors.
